Twaz the day before Christmas at SCC
Everyone was busy as busy can be
Raymond in the kitchen making Meals on Wheels
Dianna making sandwiches fast on his heels

Helen making drivers boards with a mumbled “Oh, Shit!”
Gary setting tables up to make us all fit
Carolyn’s in the pantry trying to help Rick
Diane can’t make it, she says she is sick

Robert’s in the van making a quick dash
Barbara’s in the office counting the cash
Sue’s locked in her office writing up grants
Laura’s in the Flynn Room over-watering the plants

Ray is outside checking the pool
David is looking at a brand new e-Tool
Ralph’s in the basement doing we don’t know what
Brenda’s admiring the new parking lot

The lunch crowd arrives to visit and eat
Helen is worried there’s no one to greet
A driver didn’t show and the servers are late
Sue’s delivering meals and Gary’s irate

The linen is dirty, the electricity is out
Lord knows there is always a reason to pout
Just a normal day at the "Center"
At your own risk, open and enter

We all have our trials and crosses to bare
We also have happiness and joy to share
For the work that we do is good for the heart
So we’ll be back tomorrow to make a new start
